Argent Architecture + Design has provided professional architectural services to U-Haul on 15+ self-storage facilities all across Canada

U-Haul of Oakville is a new build, 2 storey self-storage facility. The building is 50,000 square feet in area and contains hundreds of self-storage units along with an indoor customer load / unload area, warehouse and retail showroom.
​
A unique approach was taken to the design of the building in that rather than utilize conventional structural steel framing, the second floor slab and roof are supported on the walls of the self-storage units themselves, which form a natural structural grid.
​
The exterior of the building utilizes cast in place concrete walls along with insulated metal panels and strategically placed glazing.
